I used express tools lots in 2005…but can’t find in 2008, not even in help.
so where are they? need help, please.

Tom,
The Express Tools are an option during AutoCAD installation. Perhaps you did not select to install them to install. You can alway add or remove features to AutoCAD in the uninstall dialog which has options for add or remove features, repair or uninstall.

I guess the same is true for AutoCAD 2009 about Express Tool that it needs to added during the installation?

Shaan,
My favorite Express Tool for many years (until recently) has been the multiple object stretch command. However, since I switched from AutoCAD 2005 to AutoCAD 2008, the command does not function in the same way that it used to function. In previous releases, the command allowed the user to perform complex operations within a drawing. The easiest way that I can explain how it has changed is to describe how you used to have the ability to stretch a line by drawing a box on both sides of a line. Now, you must capture the entire line w/in the box in order to stretch the line. Please, please, please, make this command what it used to be.

Can I use my 2002 express tools in AutoCAD 2009 LT? If not, can I purchase the express tools for 2009 LT?

Express Tools are not working autocad response as unknown command

George,
I would check to see if you changed workspaces or unloaded the menu.
To load the Express menus, on the command line enter EXPRESSMENU or EXPRESSTOOLS then press ENTER.

George,
Did you ever have the Express Tools installed? They are an option in the installation of AutoCAD. You can go to Windows>Start>Settings>Add/Remove Programs and then select AutoCAD to modify your installation and be sure to have access to your DVD or network installation image of AutoCAD.

Shaan

AutoCAD Express Tools will not work on AutoCAD LT. In AutoCAD 2009 there were a few of the AutoCAD Express Tools incorporated into LT.
