I recently noticed a new feature after opening AutoCAD Web App, a new preview feature of a Trace feature. The new Trace feature works great for non-destructive overlays for markup and edits that don't alter the original drawing.

“Trace provides a safe space to add changes to a drawing in the web and mobile apps without altering the existing drawing.

To open the Trace palette, click Traces in the side panel on the left side of the drawing area.”
