Greetings from the Happiest Place on Earth
21 February 2020
Denmark in many studies is listed as having the happiest citizens, and I think it is absolutely true. This weekend I am joined by two amazing Autodesk Global Consulting employees Jan Liska and Paolo Serra to participate in the AEC Hackathon in Copenhagen Denmark. This Hackathon begins today at 15:30 and continues until Sunday evening. The tech talks are free and to participate in the hacking it is a small ticket price with discounts for students.
Join Us Next Week to Innovate and Break AEC Silos

AEC Hackathons are one of my favorite events filled with innovative thinking and ideas combined with collaborative fun and technology.
In a nutshell, the hackathon starts with a group of people from industry, academia, tech, architects, and programmers that for the most part don't know each other. Some bring their ideas and vision for a killer app, automation, or service then in a lightning round pitch of 8 minutes for that idea. many ideas utilize AEC technologies. Those that agree with a pitched idea can form a team with the person to plan and develop something in the two days. At the end of the event there are presentation of the solutions and judging for the winning solution. I have over simplified an AEC Hackathon but I can’t emphasize how fun and inspiring these events are and how all the people learn something from the exchange of ideas, experience, and collaboration as everybody walks away with new gained knowledge and even more ideas of what might be possible to change the AEC industry.
