This is always one of my favorite days of the year and it was held in the Autodesk Portland office yesterday. We had over 60 kids of our employees show up for a day filled with fun activities, snacks, food, and even robot rides.
There was instruction in animation using Autodesk Maya and design a phone cradle with Fusion 360.
Making necklaces, make a custom notebook, and making rope dog chews from an Instructables article and then donated for a local dog shelter.
There was assembling SolarBuddy solar lights to go to places lacking electricity and light at night for kids sponsored by the Autodesk Foundation.
LEGO Robots and just making with LEGOs! ORTOP and Local FIRST Robotics students led this and I helped.
Lots of selfies!
Snacks and pizza!
And the best part, spending time with their parents at the office.
More Photos from the day! A fun video is in the works including some cute waving out the window at the drone (example video).
There is never a bad day, when you get to ride robots and make new buddies!
Our kids are the future, and it is always inspiring when they come for the day for the Kids at Autodesk Day. I have seen many kids grow up over the years in our Autodesk family and I'm anxiously counting down to the next Kids at Autodesk Day. Thank you to Autodesk, volunteers, parents, and to the kids for making such a special day and memories.
