Last week I was attaining events in Washington DC to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. While there I snuck to a few Smithsonian Museums because they are amazing, free, and have awesome air conditioning when it is 200 degrees Fahrenheit outside (felt like it with that hostile humidity heat index and 100 degrees. I went to the amazing Freer Museum and it was filled with so much amazing and historical art, but one piece I... Read more →

If you are near Washington DC, you should come battle the crowds and endure the heat and muggy weather to see the Washington Monument. They are projecting the Saturn V5 Rocket for Apollo 11 projected on it at 9:30pm and then an experience this Friday and Saturday night. I seen it last night and was blown away at how awesome this was. It should be done often as the 1:1 scale of the rocket on the monument was unreal. It... Read more →

The Apollo 11 Lunar Lander is shown on the surface of the moon in 1:1 scale in the Solar System AutoCAD sample drawing from the early 80s. Its a well known fact that Autodesk founder John walker is big into astronomy, and accuracy being a key part of that. I have heard in an early AutoCAD release that bug reports were filed by people reporting a wobble of shadows in rendering with sunlight. It was not a bug, being accurately... Read more →

I'm a bit nervous leaving my house again knowing that my security system cameras may send me spooky videos. A couple months ago I was in San Francisco in a meeting when my phone buzzed with an alert from my security system, so I took a look. I was a bit shocked and surprised to see a big spider climbing over my camera. It continued to send me spider selfies for the next few days leaving me a bit nervous... Read more →
