The LEAP 2018 competition challenges FIRST FRC teams to develop new technologies to engage and assist resource-poor youth in farming and agriculture, while working alongside Mercy Corps. Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing Combined to Create Olly the Octopus

The acronym of my Autodesk division, Office of the CTO “OCTO” was the complex shape inspiration for an octopus named Olly. Olly was created by additive 3D printing metal and then subtractively machining it. Both methods of additive and subtractive were achieved using Autodesk’s advanced Powermill product. Sweet Layover Last Evening

On my flight back to my Portland Oregon home from Toronto I had a 55 minute layover in Salt Lake City. My kids live near there including my youngest, my amazing 17 year old daughter. Hip Hop Architecture Video

Several Autodesk employees including myself participated in the 2018 Hip Hop Architecture Camp in Portland at Benson Polytechnic High School this past June.
