First Day Back in the Saddle err Office
08 August 2016
I have been on sabbatical since mid-June and returned to the Autodesk Lake Oswego office this morning – a little too bright and early. I absolutely love working for Autodesk and truly appreciate that they still believe in giving employees a real disconnected break every four years to rejuvenate and reflect and come back with a reinvigorated energy. I feel rested, relaxed, and ready for many great products, projects, and events and of course more blog and social media information and fun. Luckily for me. the local office has Stumptown coffee cold brew on a nitro tap here in the office, as I need it.
Autodesk even supplies our Oregon employees with park passes to check out to use and even some tents and gear for those who need some extra gear to use to escape the office and the city.
What did I do for my sabbatical? I did the regional staycation this sabbatical vacation choosing to stay on the West coast of the US in Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, and Idaho. I spent my time visiting family and friends, hiking, camping, playing, beer festivals, music events, resting, reading, hiking, SCUBA diving, swimming, river floats, flying, and all around seriously enjoying the summer. I even sold my sports car and went total Portland style and got a Subaru and in only one month put 5000 miles on it.
Here are a couple photos from my sabbatical.
So glad to be back and so ready.
