In the Northern hemisphere spring started at 12:30 a.m. this morning and the sun is directly overhead at the equator in the spring equinox. To my friends in the Southern hemisphere, I wish you a nice Fall celebrating your autumnal equinox. The sun does rise exactly in the east and set in the west on the equinox.
