It is amazing how online retailers are becoming so immediate in fulfilling your order. It used to be you could order something from Amazon.com and get it in 2 days free with Prime and that was almost enough of a gratification if you couldn’t find the goods at a local retailer . But yesterday I realized I had broken my computer mouse during travel and needed a replacement immediately. I was at home ready to head for the office and the local electronics stores would not be open for 3 hours. I fired up the new Amazon Prime Now app on my phone and ordered a mouse and it was delivered within one hour at the office. I was able to track the driver who had my new mouse and keyboard and actually met the guy as I was headed up in the office elevator. This new Amazon service is not offered everywhere but currently is available in Portland Oregon and limited in the selection in stock but also will pick up from local grocery and retail stores in the area like New Seasons Market and my favorite Japanese grocery store Uwajimaya as well as a few others in my area. There is only a $30 minimum order and costs you only the standard goods price plus a small tip to get it almost immediately or Now.
