About 18 years ago as a Mechanical Designer I accepted an offer to move to the San Francisco Bay Area from Portland Oregon and work for Autodesk on the Beta Team knowing Autodesk was a great company to work for. I was already a longtime heavy user of their products and wanted to improve the products for customers. Like many I expected to work there a few years and did not think I would be there this many years later. Autodesk is absolutely a great company to work for and still retains much of it’s startup soul from the early years even though a large corporation 32 years old.
I don’t need a large business magazine to tell me what I already knew, but it is nice for others to know as it is an accomplishment for a company to be listed so highly and a long reputation as a great place to work.
