Autodesk caused a great deal of excitement and options this week by announcing Autodesk Stingray a game engine that in addition to working close with Autodesk 3ds max and Autodesk Maya also allows for AEC walkthroughs. Now there is another option and choice on the market for studios to use to get their game, virtual reality experience, or architectural walk through onto multiple platforms including mobile without needing to be a hardcore programmer. You get product integration as well ass world class shaders, effects, and physics. Stingray will be $30 per month subscription starting later this month and will later be included with Autodesk Maya LT.
I might give this a try when I have some time and use it for an upcoming special project and make some mind and retina blowing oculus rift content for a virtual experience of walking through or flying over something.
