3D Printing is Not a Fad
22 July 2015
Just read a great article in the Harvard Business Review highlighting some of the Autodesk #3DRV tour last year by TJ McCue. The 3DRV spent almost a year on the road crisscrossing the United States meeting amazing people and seeing amazing companies and technologies. To TJ’s point I have had several discussions with people outside of the CAD world using 3D printing in their daily lives now for practical purposes and not just plastic thingamajigs and silly doohickeys.
3D Printing Is Changing the Way We Think

Love the fact Monkey Likes Shin’'s Jeff Tiedeken is mentioned in the article as he is the machining worlds equivalent to a rock star so think of Jeff forever more as the Mick Jagger of Machining.
I am so thankful to have met TJ and his family traveling in the 3DRV in Moab Utah last year where we presented an accurate 3D print of the actual Delicate Arch to the US National Park Service to be used in educational outreach for thosse unable to make the hike to the arch. I even got to sleep in the 3DRV!
What a Day with TJ and the Autodesk 3DRV in Arches National Park Utah
