What a great and fun way to get employees competing as teams and resulting in better health which reduces overall health costs to the employer and makes the employees feel better. This is one of those things that make Autodesk one of the best employers to work for as awarded by several magazines and organizations.
This was my 3rd year participating in the Global Corporate Challenge "GCC" program where Autodesk and hundreds of other companies around the world log steps using a pedometer, bike miles, and swimming in miles. I have beaten my past 2 years performance and was a team captain this year for the OCTO-Pi team which was comprised of Office of the CTO hence OCTO
Our Team OCTO-Pi placed 11th in the entire Autodesk teams this year and logged 4920 miles between 7 of us in 100 days which is like walking across the entire United States in a relay race.

This weekend I will be competing with my oldest son Chris in the Tough Mudder competition which is a half marathon with 20 brutal obstacles in the course from ice baths to fire and electrical wires.

Already looking forward to GCC 2015! We should have a step count competition at Autodesk University 2014!
What a surprise to also just earn the 5000 miles badge on my Fitbit!
Cheers,
Shaan
