I have been dealing with the hot Summer heat even triple digits for awhile now and anything cool and wet sounds like a great idea. I just happened to read that Autodesk customer Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City had built a huge waterslide named Verruckt (means insane in German)which cools you down with extreme thrills and chills. The water slide is taller than Niagara Falls. It is not only fun but a good workout with 264 stairs to climb to the top of the 168 feet tall water slide structure. Engineering and design projects are not only fun to be involved in the design, fabrication, and construction phases, but also to ride!

Schlitterbahn Waterpark and my Ramblings on Design
If only I was in Kansas City to take the plunge! I hope my daring Kansas City friends will let me know how the slide is and maybe next time I am in KC I will go take the BIG plunge.
I would love to hear from someone in design & engineering at Schlitterbahn. Email me
Cheers,
