It never fails, I am out of communications reach in the middle of the mountains or desert hiking and an announcement goes out.

“SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Autodesk, Inc. You may remember or click back to my blog post March 28th 2011 on AutoCAD WS offline editing “AutoCAD WS mobile – Offline Editing & Viewing of DWG Files” and spotted the Android device with AutoCAD WS running in my teased images. I even placed “Andy” the Android mascot in the drawing.
Yes, I actually did draw the Android character Andy in AutoCAD.
So now you know AutoCAD WS the free web and mobile app for viewing, markup, and light editing of DWG files in addition to the Apple iOS mobile platform will be available later this month for the Google Android mobile platform.
AutoCAD WS for Android will be available for download on the Android Market beginning April 20, 2011. Register and find out as soon as the download is available.
