We have an update 1.1 to our AutoCAD WS mobile application which will be available very soon for download on the iTunes App Store (http://autode.sk/adicd2). This update addresses some of the most requested features: 1) The ability to work offline without a 3G or Wi-Fi connection, and 2) Opening DWG files directly into AutoCAD WS from an email attachment. Autodesk University 2010 Starting

Tonight was a mix of socials and mixers for several groups including the two I attended, the Press & Blogger Social and the AEC Mixer. Both were outstanding and held at the House of Blues located in the Mandalay Bay. The Press & Blogger Social was packed wall to wall with several Autodesk executives, product teams, as well as the industry press and several bloggers. There was great food and drink including the special “desktini”. At the AEC Mixer about 1200 people were treated to a group of Autodesk employees playing in a band named AEC /DC. The AEC Mixer then headed up 64 floors to the Foundation Club high atop the Mandalay Bay and what a view there was from up there. It was a blast! The official start of Autodesk University 2010 starts in the morning with the General Session Keynote. Don’t miss this general session as there will be great speakers and technology featured. The event is for bloggers who actively blog on Autodesk product and events not really for blogs about their unicorn training, bacon weaving, or wicked butter carving skills. There will be a large group of bloggers and Autodesk employees attending in this casual social networking environment to place names to faces. Face to Face networking F2F. Read more →

Day 2 of NASATweetup for Space Shuttle Discovery STS-133 Final Launch

My second day of the NASA Tweetup event is starting and I am still tired from yesterdays non-stops events and presentations. We visited the sleeping giant Space Shuttle Discovery last night as well as the Saturn & Apollo museum. We also go to see speakers such as top NASA employees, astronauts, and the Twitter VP who just happened to be sitting next to me at a table and quite open to discussions about social media.
