In the recent AutoCAD release we have made the default for the Drawing Tools buttons in the status bar display as icons instead of the text.

Are you a visual or semantic person, pictures or text preference? You do have the choice to select your preference.

You have the choice of the new default icons,

Or the text.

All you need to do is simply right-click the Drawing Tools buttons and then select the option to use icons or not.

While I am on the Status Bar topic, another tip. You can also right-click on the blank space on the status bar and get more options for other items to show or not show on the status bar..
