An interview with John Walker - Part 2
Why do we talk about Autodesk history from the 80’s? This is a simple and easy answer; because John Walker is amazing person and was a key changing force to most anyone in the CAD or design business today, or those using computers for design. Also Autodesk has a long and successful history and track record that not many software companies can claim. Besides it is fun to know where we have been and the thinking behind it and relive the nostalgia as many have been using Autodesk products since the beginning days.
I was in the Bay Area Autodesk offices this week and saw some cool stuff from the past and photographed them for later posting. I also got to see something that will have a grand opening next Wednesday and focuses on Design and the future. It was awesome and once it is announced publicly, I will post about my experience and photos.
You can’t know where you are going without first knowing where you have been. Autodesk having been around 26 years, we have been many places and looking forward to many many more heading into the future.
Cheers,
Shaan
