Crashing Is Bad, OK? – Agreed and Fixed in an Upcoming AutoCAD 2009 Service Pack
07 July 2008
Steve Johnson the wild Aussie from way down under and over in Perth Australia and also a longtime AutoCAD user and writer for Cadalyst magazine with his Bugwatch column has published a few AutoCAD 2009 issues we are researching. We saw one that we wanted to mention will be addressed in an upcoming AutoCAD 2009 Service Pack.
“Crashing Is Bad, OK? (2009)
If you have AutoCAD 2009's Ribbon turned on, when you create or edit mtext, the ribbon usually changes to provide you with the controls you need to edit mtext. If the ribbon is off, a toolbar-style interface is provided instead. You can force AutoCAD to use this interface by setting the MTEXTTOOLBAR system variable, or by changing the setting from within the ribbon as shown here.”
ISSUE FIXED…
In the upcoming AutoCAD 2009 Service Pack that is currently undergoing customer beta testing at http://myfeedback.autodesk.com. There are other customer reported issues addressed in the service pack including CER reported issues. Please keep sending in your CER reports each and every time you encounter a crash.
