Autodesk Posts Beta for New P&ID Product - AutoCAD P&ID (Codenamed Guinness)
10 October 2006
This week Autodesk Plant Solutions posted a new product beta for creating, modifying, and managing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Geared specifically for those who work on P&IDs in the process manufacturing and power generation industries, the product is built on the familiar AutoCAD platform. For plant designers, drafters, and engineers, features like dynamic lines, dynamic components, and industry standard symbol libraries make it fast and easy to create, manipulate, and update P&IDs. Additionally, administrators can create symbols that are customized to their company or client standards. For managing and reporting of engineering information, the Data Manager enables quick viewing and editing of underlying data with the ability to export to Microsoft Excel.
