01 December 2004
The opening day of AU was awesome. I attended many of the classes which were packed to capacity. The keynote presentations were very revealing and showed glimpses of possible future features of some Autodesk Products and then there was also a presentation on innovation by the inventor of the Segway scooter.
I gave a presentation on getting involved in Autodesk feedback opportunities in the Inside the Sausage Factory and told those in attendance to simply sign up at http://myfeedback.autodesk.com to get involved in feedback, surveys, usability testing, or beta testing of many Autodesk products.
The AUGI wish list was presented to Autodesk PTD VP John Sanders and John showed some of last years wishes have already been granted as have some of this years wishes may be already granted in a very near release of AutoCAD.
I was at the AutoCAD booth during the AUGI Beer bust in the exhibit hall and the place was absolutely filled with people. I met so many people and had some really great discussions and so much to take back to the office and fellow team members when I return.
I ended up at Studio 54 with a bunch of people until around 5AM and even ran into heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson and I will post a photo of me and Mike later.
I also added some more photos to the AU 2004 Photo Gallery: http://autodesk.blogs.com/photos/autodesk_university_2004_/
Cheers,
